I found out about English corner from LM and XY when I came here on holiday in June.
They meet on Sunday afternoons from 2pm until about 5pm at 12时令tea (shílìng ; 12 seasons tea), about 100 metres from Exit A of 江陵路 (jiānglíng lù ; Jiangling Road) metro station. Look for the golden lion:
It was great to see LM, XY and JD again, to make some great new friends, and to hear about EA’s travels.

On the way back to my host family’s home, I was approached by an older gentleman who asked if I would like to teach English to kindergarten kids. An interesting opportunity, and certainly something to think about. But, I don’t think it was an offer of paid employment, it was voluntary, and while I am here on a tourist visa I am not supposed to do any form or work, paid or otherwise (as confirmed by the Chinese embassy in London).
Back at the apartment, XC and I spent some time playing until she had to go to bed.
All in all, a very blessed and full Sunday. Chinese course starts tomorrow!
