This morning instead of a Chinese lesson we had a cultural activity of learning some Chinese calligraphy.
YH introduced the calligraphy master to us, who explained what calligraphy is, how it is done in Chinese style, and showed us some examples of what to write.
Then we practised:

Finally, I don’t think I did too badly:
On the left the character 家 jiā, meaning home; family; etc.
On the right the character 爱 ài, meaning to love; to be fond of; to like; affection; etc.
The event made it into a local online magazine (as a sort of advert for the school), including a short video, which is also here below:
