Another week of lessons, but with some changes.
Monday class with FL:
Tuesday morning with JL:
On Tuesday afternoon we had an extra lesson with FL to make up for the other one we missed while she was on holiday:
Wednesday morning with FL again:
This was the first change as a girl from Lithuania, OT, joined us today.
In the afternoon I visited CL. Because LJ was unwell CL’s mum had come to help. LJ is better now, so that is good news. We went for a walk down by the river.
While we were coming back along the path, this guy on a moped just drove straight into CL and hurt her. I felt very sorry for her and especially because my Chinese is not good enough to help. They argued for a while. My understanding is that he said we were “walking in the bike lane”; really no excuse! It’s not as if we crossed in front of him – we had been walking along the path, he could see us for a long way and could have easily gone around us. I think maybe he is mentally not all there, and certainly should not have been riding around on that thing. I was very angry and wanted to give him a piece of my mind, but the language problem prevented me from doing so.
I hope the view of Hangzhou in the sunset (almost) made up for this horrible incident.
In the evening I went to 8090s.
Another lesson with FL yesterday and my fellow students are changing again. It was MLX’s last day as she will return to Germany today. So my Tuesday and Friday lessons will be down to just AE and me. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday classes will now be four of us, as HJ (the other Spanish guy) dropped out because it was too difficult for him, but GZ is continuing and OT has joined us.
MLX的最后课。Sad to say goodbye to her.
In the evening I went to the English study again. I really love these guys and very much enjoying getting to know them and learn more about what’s happening in Hangzhou and China.
Today’s lesson I only have one photo.
Most of my time otherwise has been filled with homework and proof-reading, so I don’t have as many interesting photos.
