My last Sunday morning service at Chongyi church. The choir seemed particularly good today. I felt like they had prepared especially for me.
I confess I got somewhat distracted in the middle of the service by a small visitor: A squirrel had come in (maybe through the missing roof tiles?) and made its way down the wall at the front of the church. I hope it was able to get out again okay.
HH came to say goodbye after the service.
Then I went to meet TY for lunch.
Almost “by chance” we somehow ended up going to the place where there had been the Christmas Carol singing last week. They had more entertainment (by several of the same people) in the restaurant itself, which was very funny. I think I embarrassed TY.
I went to the English Church in the afternoon. The feeling for me was reflecting in one of the songs we sang, that “God will make a way, where there seems to be no way”. I think this will stick with me for a while.
I tried (and failed) to take us all to Pizza Hut for my goodbye meal. We were just too many for them, but while they were making their minds up, we had a brief look in the Rainbow Shopping Centre and got a good group photo with the Pink Elephant.
Thanks guys! I’m going to miss you all.
God will make a way. His Way is perfect, even though we cannot always understand. God bless you all.
